Live Life Now

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin–real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.

- Alfred D. Souza

I have been there.  We may all have been there at some point.  I think back to a time where all I wanted is what I didn’t have.  Over time and a lot of education it dawned on me that I needed to be the one to get myself out of it.

I listen to all the debates about the president, how bad they are, I even saw an editorial that made it to the front page of digg about how the republicans have rigged the past elections.   It is crazy to me to make such accusations simply becuase people are unhappy with what they have.  I would wail and moan and complain about my house, my job, having no money, my car, everything.  I was way to focused on what I did not have.

I then came to a realization.  I have a good life.  Actually I am really living the life that I have always wanted.  I was in the middle of my life and I needed to start living it.  So now when I make choices it is not to counteract what I don’t have, it is to improve what I already have.

It may sound like a small step and a little change, but it is very significant.  The first true step to happyness is being grateful for what you have.  Now the only thing that I really can’t stand is to hear people whine about what they don’t have.  I can’t even listen to myself when I start to think about what I don’t have.  Either I am in action to achieve another goal, or I am happy with what I have.  There is no other solution.

If you sit back and wait for something to happen so that you can live your life, you will be waiting a long time.  If you take action to make the life that you want happen…You are living!

Personal Aspirations Final Part

Published by Coach Kip under Aspiration, Goals, Process

Ok so I am going to tease you a little bit here. Instead of having you go back and piece it all together again, or for me to write another article about it, I have put it in a free ebook. No charge, no thanks neccessary. Ok if you really want to you can thank me profusely by telling all your freinds about it.

The message is simple. You are the most important person. If you don’t like you, how can others. Once you get yourself taken care of then you can have all the relationships, all the love, all the fun that you ever dreamed of. So how bad do you want it?

Successful people use Personal Aspirations. They may have their own name for it, but they have them. They say them out loud with passion and purpose. That is what I would like you to do. I would also like you to share yours with me. It may be a great and interesting experiment.

Now get the ebook. Here it is

Personal Aspirations Part 3

We have learned that a Personal Aspiration needs to be yours, it needs to be something that is for you, by you, and read aloud often for you. We have learned that it could be a commercial, a mission statement, a set of goals, a list of things that you like about yourself, that you want to change, and objectives of where you want your life to go.

So how about some examples?

A personal commercial:

Tom Staley, meet Tom Staley – an important, a really important person. Tom, you’re a big thinker, so think big. Think big about Everything. You’ve got plenty of ability to do a first-class job, so do a first-class job.
Tom you believe in Happiness, Progress, and Prosperity.
So: talk only Happiness,
talk only progress,
talk only prosperity.
You have lots of drive, Tom, lots of drive.
So put that drive to work. Nothing can stop you, Tom, nothing.
Tom, you’re enthusiastic. Let you enthusiasm show through.
You look good, Tom, and you feel good. Stay that way.
Tom Staley, you were a great fellow yesterday, and you’re going to be an even greater fellow today. Now go to it, Tom. Go forward.

A personal mission statement:

I am a dynamic, energetic, positive leader. I live my life knowing that all good things will come to me as a result of my positive actions and thoughts. Money rains down upon me. Money comes to me effortlessly. I coach, mentor, and teach in a positive and effective manner always. Relationships are the backbone of my life and I welcome them. I keep in touch with old friends, and find new ones all the time. I am positive and magnetic. I am learning, growing and getting better every day in every way.

A personal list

Aspiration Type Sample Item
Personal Growth I will have insight into why I do the things I do.
Affiliation I will have a committed, intimate relationship.
Community Feeling I will help the world become a better place.
Financial Success I will have many expensive possessions.
Image I will achieve the “look” I’ve been after.
Popularity I will be admired by many people.

There really is no one way to make a personal aspiration statement. It simply needs to work for you.

Next we will give you an action plan on how to make your own personal aspiration statement.

Conceive It, Believe It, Achieve It.

Personal Aspiration

Published by Coach Kip under Aspiration, Success

In my quest to find what this blog is going to be about it has begun to develop itself. How? Well I am about to let you in on all the secrets.

The first secret on how this blog came to be is personal aspirations. What is a personal aspiration? It is a personal motto, commercial, uplifting words, reassurance, and goals all rolled into one. Wow that is a lot. Well it is kind of hard to describe. I’ll let you in on mine.

As you can see it is both a statement to myself, and to the world. It is a personalized goal list, it is a to do list, it is a form of self appreciation, and self discovery. It is a way to give you belief, confidence, and the ability to overcome minor and major hurdles.

A personal aspiration is the cornerstone of success. Over the next week I will be describing personal aspirations, helping you to develop one, and teaching how to use it.

Are you ready for success in anything? I am, this is the start.
