Mike Rowe and Praipatetic Thought
I love the show Dirty Jobs on the Discovery Channel. Actually there are 4 stations that I watch right now CNBC, ESPN, Discovery and The History Channel. Mike Rowe really makes the show. He is funny, he is willing to take chances, he loves what he is doing, and he makes some very funny self depreciating jokes.
Then I saw him on TED. For those not familiar TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and is a series of talks performed by some of the most influential and famous people. They are great.
Mike Rowe talks about something that is quite sensitive to many of us, and for different reasons. Listen to the first 9 minutes and he ties in some very important thoughts on learning, and keeping an open mind.
It is great to listen and watch. Take 20 minutes out of your day to see it; you will get something out of it.
