The Laws of the Internet
I really don’t know how the internet works. That may sound funny from someone who is trying to build an internet empire. Heck that may even sound ridiculous. How in the world is someone going to make money on the internet when they don’t even know how it works?
Ok so I know the basics. I know that connecting with others, and giving good information is the cornerstone to getting people to your site. Search engines are ok, but they don’t work like good old networking.
But, every once and a while something comes up and you don’t expect it. I have an old site that I used to dabble with and help me learn how to blog. All of a sudden it is starting to get some traffic. As a matter of fact it made a few dollars last month. And for what, I did not do anything; I did not make a single post since May. So why is this happening?
Having a good stat counter can help you analyze this. Stat counters are not just to be vain with. It is not just to see how many people you can get to your site. Stat counters are useful for many analytical ways. Being a coach, a math teacher, and an ex engineer, analysis is right where I belong.
The site is Good Putting.com. It is a good little site and has some potential. Looking up the stats I am finding that there are a whole bunch of hits coming from people looking up putters, and what pro is using what putter. It is really good to know. I guess I need to pick it back up again and start doing a little research. This is good because I like golf, and I am a good putter.
Get a good stat counter. I use StatCounter.com and Google Analytics for my sites. Why two? I get a better understanding of where my hits are coming from and why. The key is to use them to see where you are getting traffic, and then target those people to drive in more traffic.
Conceive It, Believe It, Achieve It.

Is good putting your site?
Gavin
Yes that is an old test site of mine, I guess I should pick it back up again.
My passions are the water, football, golf, and developing my business. I should stay with my passions.
